Take me or leave me, I plan to have this be a place to “let her buck.” I am a thirty-something mom of three children, ages 7 and under. It’s a busy season as they say, but I am gathering all of the seasons are busy as the seasons change. The kids are great, being a working mom is, we’ll say… interesting. Some things I think will be in this lovely little blog are:
-Crazy things my kids do
-Rediscovering what I like to do and probably who I am in general after offspring
-Being permanently engaged
-Funny and sassy clothing, because it is needed to fuel my days (no matter what the permanent fiancé may say)
-Work nonsense
-Balancing being a gen X stuck in a Millennial’s body and being sensitive to my kids at the same time
-Fun notebooks and office supplies to make my coworkers question my motives
-Life in the Midwest
-Medical crap for me and the kids
-Cool stuff that I find on Amazon or wherever else
-Real life, I don’t have time for bullshit
-Advocating without the filter, for myself and others
-Mom burn out
-“Things I NEVER thought I’d say”
If this sounds like you could relate, you are in the right place. If you are offended by someone telling it how it is and swearing along the way (it is a fact that smart and authentic people typically swear like sailors, I mean, the internet told me this at some point) this is probably going to offend you. Either way, I hope you have fun. I know I will on my end. There’s a lot to say and I’m not going to sugar coat much. One of my most recent favorite notepads came from the Smartass and Sass website, LINK, and I frickin love it. It says, “I’m not Willy Wonka. I don’t sugar coat shit.” Buckle up, it’s gonna be a wild ride.
